For the planned potassium project of QAZAQ KALIUM Ltd. in the Satimola region of Kazakhstan, a preliminary technical concept including a budget estimate was prepared in accordance with the customer's specifications. The focus was on the planning and execution of two shafts. The client was provided with an initial budget framework and technical principles. However, as key parameters such as shaft depths and conveyor technology are heavily dependent on the geological model and further mine planning, the final costs may still change significantly. These results form the basis for in-depth technical investigations and the next planning phase.

Scope of work

  • Preparation of a preliminary technical concept and a budget estimate according to customer specifications
  • The concept includes:
    • Planning and sinking both shafts
    • Longwall mining between the shafts
    • Construction and commissioning of the permanent conveyor systems
    • Construction of the associated above-ground shaft systems
